By any chance, did this option make the final cut?

The ability to choose the default national origin for coaches and personnel within a league, or at least limit in number or block foreign coaches and personnel from entering a league altogether, as we can already do with players? I'm hoping that this will be one of those little "and more to be announced prior to release!" features.

It can be just a little frustrating when you're playing a historical game and decide to be creative and add *** in 1978, only to see legendary MLB managers like Earl Weaver sign to manage to Seibu Lions within a year while the fictional GM of Orix Buffaloes is signed by the Yankees. Adjusting League Reputation alone doesn't seem to have any effect on where many coaches and other personnel sign, resulting in some kooky cross-pollination across leagues.

Wow hadn't even thought of that...that's a good call.

It didn't cross my mind either until I just happened to check the Orioles personnel and noticed Earl Weaver was gone. When I searched for him, sure enough, there he was, in the land of the Rising Sun. Strictly from a sociological perspective, it certainly would've been interesting (maybe even hilarious) to see Earl The Pearl try to manage in Japan IRL. However, for the sake of game immersion, it would be better if we simply had the same control over personnel movement in the game that we have with players.

Another instance where this shows up is if you are playing fictional/historical and you have, say, all U.S. players in an early league and you forget to release, delete, and recreate coaches. You then look through your league to find coaches from Korea and South Africa, for example.

I've posted this probably 2 or 3 times in the Suggestions forum over the last couple of years, and again in the Negro League announcement thread here in the 18 forum. Not only is it a problem in national terms (American personnel leaving for communist Cuba, then moving on to Korea, for example), but also from a color-barrier perspective. I've had Negro Leagues in my fictional-historical leagues for a few (real-life) years now, and it's always jarring to see an African-American manager start out with the Indianapolis ABCs in 1918, then get hired by the Boston Braves in 1924, and then the KC Monarchs in 1930. Similarly, it's just as immersion-breaking to see half the Negro League teams being run by white managers, all while the segregation of players is still in full effect.

We just need an "Allow Personnel to Leave League" checkbox option, as well as an "Allow Personnel from Other Leagues" option. Please.

Not only that but managers with a "solid reputation and tenure " going to lower leagues . This just happened to me today the losing manager of the World Series still managed to win the Manager of the year award for the second time in four years. he also won a World Series once during that. So basically he's been in the World Series twice in four years well apparently his contract went up and the same season I decided to expand so I added two teams and I'm checking their personnel and guess who I see has their minor-league bench coach? The guy who just won the manager of the year award a few weeks earlier

Yes, this is on my list.... hopefully I'll have enough time to put it into OOTP 18.

Forget about the rest, that alone would make me buy OOTP18.
