Does This Look Right to you?

So I tried a random era player league starting in 1972. Im using the Spritze database. When the inagural draft came out i looked at the random class of dudes that was allotted to me. I was stoked to see Lou Brock there, and with the 3rd pick in my hands, he was gonna be mine....until this:
What did I do wrong? I mean he COULD steal 100 bases...IF he could find his way to 1st base!

Is there something weird like scouting in this historical?

In the league set up there is an option to change how Historical players are rated. It looks like he is rated based on his 1st year as an MLB player. Have you checked his stats line for his rookie season?
You can select that their potential is based on their Peak Career Years.
Do you remember which option you selected?
You should be able to find it in the League Settings, I cannot tell you what happens if you change it after league creation.
I would check that option, if it needs to be changed then make a backup and change the setting.

i dont have scouting on but ill look at the other ideas you suggested and go from there. guess ill keep creating the lg and futzing with the settings for them til i get it right
