How many hours have you invested into the franchise?

EDIT: Last option should be 10,000 <

How many hours do you estimate to have spent on the entire OOTP franchise throughout the years?

If you spend around a 1000 per year, and you've played since before 06', you would be well over 10,000 hours.

I just found out about OOTP last May/June. Already well over 600 hours into ootp 17 and plan on pre-ordering ootp 18 later in the week. I may not be a major league addict just yet, but I'd say I'm in AAA with 4 1/2 star potential. :-)

Where is the screen that tells me how many hours I have played on the version I have open? I thought it was in Preferences but I cannot find it.

On steam I have about 2,500 hrs between OOTP 15,16 and 17. I also played OOTP 13 and 14 but have no idea how many hours probably another 1,000 between them.

I freckon I've actually spent more time planning my leagues and thinking about them than I've ever played them haha

Estimated 282,875 hours since 2002.

That's when I retired... my life has been pretty much OOTPB, music collecting, music listening, watching movies and old TV shows on Netflix... and of course, spending a lot of time with my wonderful wife... also traveling to all the MLB ballparks and many, many minor league parks, too... we have only three more MLB to go... Washington, new San Diego and new Miami.
Baltimore is my favorite new ballpark... Phoenix is really nice... so are Seattle... San Francisco... Pittsburgh... Philadelphia.
Fenway and Wrigley are special for historic reasons... but not comfortable.
New Yankee Stadium is not as good as the Old Yankee Stadium.
Toronto is the worst ballpark... really dingy and dirty... but have really nice fans.

Sorry for the digression... need to get back on topic.

OOTPB is a dream come true for me... I played APBA baseball in the early 1950's using player cards and outcome boards... kept all stats by hand... and dreamed about the day when I wouldn't have to spend so much time on the stats.

Lo and behold, my dream came true in August 2002 when I came across OOTP3.

Thank you, thank you, thank you, Markus.

There's a new stadium opening in Atlanta. So you need to add one more.

What's with Atlanta and the new stadiums? Closing Turner Field and the Georgia Dome? I didn't see a problem with either of them, I thought both were quite the venue.

So is this hours per year or over my lifetime so far playing OOTP?

Turner was old, but it was a good place to watch a game... saw no reason to replace it.

Well over 10,000 hours for me. This game has provided me with an incredible amount of fun and diversion from the difficulties of real life.

You are living the dream, Eugene! I used to think being a gaming geezer (I'm 58) made me more unusual than it does. When I'm retired I want my life to closely resemble what you describe. You're my hero!

Eugene, I was another APBA fan in the fifties, replaying old seasons and keeping all stats by hand. Much. much later tried Baseball Mogul, and then about four years ago, OOTP. I have no idea how many hours I've played it, but I sure am glad it exists. Am looking forward to many more years with the game.

I'm not old by any means (26), but all the time I get the "Aren't you a little old to be playing video games?" Or I've gotten in response to wearing a Star Wars shirt, "Aren't you a little old to be wearing that?"

One of the keys to life that I've found is never lose your inner child. Do the things you love and don't be ashamed of them (unless they are seriously harmful stuff).
