3D parks & crowds

Are the changes to the 3D parks going to be significant enough that Silvam's parks and my background and 3D crowds won't work? I don't want to waste time on doing more of these if they won't work or require significant modifications to the work would be doing.

3d parks

Hey Alan,
even though we will use the pod format in the future instead of obj, ootp18 will still load up obj files. So silvams parks should still work.

That's good news. You guys should take those files and include them in the game through OOTP Mods or something.

BTW, can I ask why the format switch?

I agree, use what we like to use. Maybe they could get all of Silvam's parks with my backgrounds to show 3D crowds as I am having problems with a lot of the parks getting the 3D crowds to work.

Not the term that was used *should*

In short, they don't know and since they like to break things that once worked then ignore them, I would think long and hard about putting your effort into your project at this time.

You may be right. I think my problems with getting 3D crowds to work has something to do with shaders and my machine being 64 bit.

I continue to work on putting 3D crowds on Silvam's parks and continue to have crashes on many. Once I do all the conversions to allow 3D crowds to be displayed and look at them in the edit mode, they are there. However, as soon as I try to rotate the park clockwise it crashes. I can play a game with these parks okay without crashing. I ran debug after the crashes in the edit mode and keep getting the same results as shown. It appears to me, and I am not a programmer, that the issue is because something is wrong in the ootp.exe file. I was wonder if it could be investigated and if there is a problem, if it can be fixed ootp17
& 18. Many users seem to like these parks with 3d Crowds and I would like to provide them with conversions of all Silvam"s great parks with 3D crowds.

I know you all must be busy on 18 to meet the March date but am hoping you can check this out whilst working on the programming.
