We can't reveal everything all at once, can we?

We'll try to feature some of the 3D changes in the leadup to release time

Dying to see how 3D looks!
I hope there are a few videos of this posted on the 20th as I'm one of those stuck in the Steam detention room until the 24th

has noticed the pattern of the people who haven't been in this game that long tend to be the ones who want eye candy. Its funny how a friend of mine and I were talking about this in a different way. We have noticed that the kids today (in general) tend to have less creativity than say our generation and those prior like our parents and grand parents. Its amazing to actually step back and see how kids today tackle things. a friend of mine and myself were able to play baseball just the 2 of us and we made our own silly rules and even did our own announcing. Today nobody wants to play baseball because too few friends available to play. Another example as far as graphics Star Wars. Much was implied and todays star wars NONE is implied. Getting back to graphics here I think its great and much hard work by the programmers now having to deal with the 2nd generation. Wonders if we go ahead in 20 years for the following generation the graphics be holographics LOL Whoops better watchout I might start a prophetic movement there HEHE

I certainly don't expecet the graphics to be anywhere near MLB the show as I expect small advancements to be made yearly. I was just excited to see what advancements were made this year. I do enjoy watching the games unfold as for me it brings another level of immersion.

Try being a teacher and seeing it decline year after year. Creativity is a lost art.

No matter how it looks, you know those posts about the graphics will hit the forums once again after the game is released, complaining it doesn't look like blah, blah, blah.
For 2017 and beyond,I would like to see those particular posts all moved to a different part of the forum, as they just murk up the 'General Discussion' section.

...My wife and I are both educators and would completely agree with the lack of creativity (nor the motivation to create) in most of our technology dependent youth in today's society. Now, EVERYTHING has to be spelled out for them so there is no suitable use for imagination... not all of them, but most of them...

Not looking for MLB the Show graphics here. Would just like to see the timing of the little pawns match up with the script a bit better and maybe less balls bouncing off the right field wall into the opponents dugout.
I highly doubt that anyone lacking creativity actually plays this game.

Really? For that matter lets just move all discusssions about finances to a different part of the forum since some people play with them off and might think that disussing such things only "murks" up the general discussion section

Of course I'm ribbing you a little bit but in all serioiusness the more people that Markus appeals to the better for all of us. Sure there are those that expect "The show" graphics but most of us are more realistic and just enjoy the little advancements made year by year. I for one don't like all of the options as I play with a few of them off but certainly could care less about someone discussing them on the general discussion board...I just don't read them. If that bothers certain people then play with graphics off and simply don't read the posts where the title clearly states that it is 3-D related...after all you clearly clicked on and read a title that stated it was 3-D related. Relax it's all good.

I'll take it a step further and say there are some features I now play with that I never did before until I read how people used them on the forum.

That's exactly why I enjoy people discussing various features in the general discussion forum as I too have learned about more features in OOTP than I thought existed. And even though some features I could care less for it's great to bring in a wider audience which benefits everyone.

I don't need the fancy graphics, I'm just so darned curious what things are going to look like since I will spend so much time with OOTP on my screen once it does come out.

It's 2017 and i can name about 5 baseball games that had simple but better graphics from 1985-2003. Granted they were not text based games but it would be nice to have more that some chess piece running around and weird plays that bounce from the RF wall back to the SS and the player was out the entire time. Also would be nice to have the sky darken based on weather not a bright sunny day. While i will buiy 18 for the historical improvements i hope to see major improvements to graphics in the next 2-3 versions.

Small improvements in graphics is all that is all I need. As long as it isn't using a ton of man hours that could be used elsewhere. Incremental improvements over several years would be better than a single massive change all at once... in my opinion.
