Hard to choose between Tournaments, Pro/Reg and revamped injury system. These have probably been my 3 biggest wants for a few years now. Highlights will likely be very nice as well for immersion factors.

Might seem like a small deal, but:

"The ability to retain player salaries in trades"

It needs to be implemented properly but this should result in much more flexibility to unload decent-but-not-great older guys if you need to. Or, alternatively, the ability to obtain a decent-but-not-great expensive older guy without destroying your budget.

Again, needs to be implemented properly (the more money you take on = the lesser prospect you have to give up, etc), but should be huge for realistic trading.

I tend to love the stuff at the "bottom of the page" each release and generally anything that features the initials "AI".

Roster AI
Trade AI
In-Game AI

And I truly hope that also includes a little bit of work on the "Contract Negotiation AI" too!

Love the work on the injury system.

Ability to retain salary on players is also a plus (and I really hope the ability to be able to track that is also part of that equation and it's not just lumped into "misc player expenses" so that you have an idea of how long your burden is).

And absolutely anything that improves the online leagues, from AI to speed of download/upload, is fine by me!

Looking forward to OOTP 18 and all the work that has been done.

So, in short, OTHER!

Which feature are you most looking forward to?

The Negro Leagues in historic replay. If game settings allow, it would be awesome to sign some Negro League stars to play in MLB before 1947.

Surprised no one has mentioned this yet. I look forward to the Arizona Fall League.

Seeing how my best two or three prospects do against the other best prospects will hopefully give a better read on what to expect as they advance up the chain and hopefully the Major Leagues.

Thanks for explaining what this is as a result of your post. I gather this means that if you want to make a trade, you can retain (part? all?) his salary on your payroll to make him more attractive to somebody else who may have salary cap problems. That's cool; so many times I have seen trades that I wanted to make go bust because the other team was up against a salary cap or just out of money.

I nearly cried when I saw they were adding promotion and relegation. I had long sine accepted that it was probably never going to happen. Now that it is though, I'm converting from atheism to Out-of-the-Parkism.

P/R was a big surprise. We were told over and over again that it wasn't really worth the time & effort it would take to program because too few people wanted that feature. I guess either more people wanted it than we thought, or it was a lot easier to program than originally predicted. Perhaps both.

Soo many features I'm just psyched about. But I think tournaments will be the most fun.

Negro Leagues and historical minors being improved. Hopefully can integrate the Majors before '47! Branch Rickey would be proud.

Tournaments and Negro Leagues are the features I'm most interested in seeing, and I am curious how the injury system will work, and the 3D highlights work.

Yes, I think that's it. Like, say you have an over-the-hill but still somewhat useful veteran nearing the end of a 20 mil/year deal. You're trying to unload him to a contender at the deadline that needs a little help. In current OOTP this is basically impossible -- every GM is going to give you the "we are not interested in overpaid veterans" blanket statement.

In real baseball, you can absolutely find a taker for guys like this, but you have to retain some salary. You retain, say, 15 million, you can demand a good prospect back. You retain, say, 5-7 million, you can probably expect a project at best, probably worthless prospect back, but you might be able to still unload the veteran and free up money.

This is a huge aspect of actual trading, especially near-deadline trading that has never been reflected in the game. Again, if done correctly it's a huge improvement in my mind.

This is the biggest one for me. Hopefully it will be easier to make trades.

Glad to see Negro Leaguers added also want to see more of this Challenge thing.
The pawns do need work, but I really like them. With every update it seems they fixed certain pawn glitches and added others. Since the most recent patch (which was a while ago) the main glitches I've been seeing are:
1. Un-assisted double plays where the 2nd baseman tags both first and second base (must be Manny running down the line).
2. Way too many inside-the-park home runs. Like 1 of every 3 homers is inside the park. Although this might be an engine issue.

Can the tournaments be used with historical teams? I don't see them mentioned in that context in the ads. If so, that would be number one with me followed by the improved automatically generated write-ups of each game, and then probably negro leagues.
