Pre-Season Predictions:
Record and rank in division

O's - 82-80 (2nd)
A's - 84-78 (2nd)
Braves - 73-89 (4th)
Marlins - 68-94 (5th)
Brewers - 82-80 (2nd)
Reds - 63-99 (5th)
Rockies - 92-70 (2nd)

Lage (2B) is considered the third best position player in the AL and projects for .296/.409/.546 - 45 HR, 105 RBI, 35 SB

Sheldon (LF) is considered the second best position player in the NL and projects for .317/.411/.542 - 40 HR, 114 RBI, 13 SB

Peter Python is considered the fifth best pitcher in the NL and projects for 18-7, 2.55 ERA with 330 K's.

Jake Welch is considered the sixth best pitcher in the NL and projects for 18-8, 2.30 ERA, 251 K's.

Python is the ace of the Rockies (clearly)
80/80
2. Jeff Hoffman (65/65)
3. Jose Quintana (47/47) acquired in the off-season for 5/107M
4. Miguel Castro (54/54)
5. Luis Pedermo (39/39) acquired in the off-season for 4/29.14M

Patrick Corbin was bumped from the rotation and is now the teams closer.

Python, you have been offered a one year contract of $8,300,000 with a Cy Young award bonus of $800,000 as your first year of arbitration.

Do you accept or do you want to go to arbitration against the team?

They will file for $7,900,000. You can file a different amount or accept their offer

Jake Welch is now safely considered the ace of the Brewers staff.
He is a 78/80

2. Carson Fulmer (72/75)
3. Cody Reed (58/58)
4. Jorge Lopez (51/51)
5. Chih-Wei Hu (32/32)

Every starter is making the league minimum

Their closer is Chasen Shreve (57/60) in his final year before free agency making $5.8M

Reds Lineup

CF - Billy Hamilton - 23/26
2B - Dilson Herrera - 71/72
LF - Jesse Winkler - 58/58
1B - Yale Rosen - 48/48
3B - BART SNYDER - 74/80
C - MAX WILLIAMS - 80/80
LF - Adam Eaton - 30/30 - acquired in off-season for 4/8.54M
SS - Jordy Mercer - 21/21 - acquired in off-season for 660K

Their rotation leaves some to be desired, but Robert Stephenson is their ace at 63/66 and they have him extended through the next 8 seasons (age 27-34 seasons - 2027) for 87M

Brandon Finnegan is their number 2 at 61/64 with two years before he can be a free agent

Their 3-5 all are pretty bad. But their top 7 prospects behind Snyder are all starters at varying levels. If their pitching can develop, this could become a good team with great defense.

A's Lineup

1. F. Barreto SS - 70/70
2. L. Wade DH - 40/70
3. J. Lage 2B - 80/80
4. M. Olson 1B - 70/72
5. S. Bolt RF - 57/57
6. T. Taylor LF - 53/53
7. N. Collins C - 21/21
8. M. Chapman 3B - 51/52
9. A. Beck CF - 26/80

Sonny Gray anchors the rotation and is a 74/74 and owed $28M each of the next three seasons.

After that, it's a fairly balanced rotation of 50/50's

Austin Beck looks like a really good prospect though with a ton of speed and good contact potential with the bat. He's only 22 and was the 9th overall pick in 2017. But the A's lack other good position players but have plenty of pitching in the big leagues and on the farm.

Bernie McAllison and the Marlins:

Lineup

1. D. Gordon 2B - 74/74
2. B. McAllison SS - 68/80
3. I. Soto LF - 70/70
4. G. Stanton RF - 78/78
5. T. Shaw 3B - 50/50
6. J. Realmuto C - 59/66
7. H. Park 1B - 63/65
8. J. Jones CF - 51/77

The entire Marlins team outside of Stanton have great hit tools, and he has more power than anyone else in baseball. This should be a high average hitting team, something McAllison fits the mold on perfectly.

But their rotation down right sucks.
Their ace, Michael Lorenzen is a 29/29 and their top pitching prospect is a 20/50 in AA.

They need pitching badly.

Kyle Sheldon and the Braves

Lineup
1. O. Albies SS - 68/69
2. T. Montgomery CF - 40/40
3. K. Sheldon LF - 80/80
4. F. Freeman 1B - 66/66 (2 years left on his contract)
5. W. Flores 2B - 50/62
6. B. Davidson RF - 36/65
7. H. Olivera 3B - 21/21
8. A. Jimenez C - 40/43

A pretty balanced rotation
Wilser 63/63
Blair 64/64
and three others in the 50 ranges.

I'll begin the 2020 season after we get an answer from Python about arbitration

Lage is the first player since Eddie Mathews and the second ever to hit 45 HR in their age 21 or younger season - Mathews hit 47 in 1953 at the age of 21.

Python is only the 4th pitcher to have a 300 K season aged 23 or younger, and his 304 is the third most surpassing Vida Blue's 1971, age 21, 301 K season.

Ahead of him are Sam McDowell - 1965 age 22, 325 K
and Walter Johnson - 1910 age 22, 313 K

Making it more impressive of course is that he did this while pitching in Coors

Fairly certain that's a first year arb record, isn't it?

You should post screenshots. Shortest all the players and set the screen to stats. Then take a screenshot of that

Yeah, I'm a little rusty. Problem is, I'm on a dual monitor and I'm having trouble with sizing. I'll work on it now.
