What determines a HOF player's induction team?

As the title says. I'm playing a Yankee game (easy mode, I know) and had a pitcher win four straight CY awards but he was only with me for four years and accumulated just under 30 WAR with 86 wins 1150 Ks. In his first 7 years he had 45 WAR with 1300 K with 85 wins. He also won two WS with me. Is there any chance he goes into the Hall with me or nah?

I think it is just team with most games played with.

I think we should have the ability to choose which team rather than ththe AI. If we want th AI to choose for us then fine but we should have an option

It would also be nice to be able to set the AI to choose based on the team the player had the highest WAR with.

I agree! Sometimes pre-coded formulas just can't capture what "should" be

I remember a few years ago when Dave Winfield went into the Hall of Fame almost everybody expected him to go as a Yankee but he decided to go as a padre things like this happen and baseball in real life

Didn't Wade Boggs want to go in as a Devil Ray(caused they paid him) and the HOF wouldn't allow it?
