Nation settings

Nation settings is something I'm not too familiar with I don't mess with very often but I know there's a list of all the countries and has all the information is for city states etc. but I was wondering is there a way to merge countries together? For example if I want to have a United Ireland. Can I merge Ireland and Northern Ireland together have al the info automatically transfer. So if I start an Irish baseball league all the information for the cities and states is already there as one?

The only thing I can think of off hand is to edit the 'world_defautl.xml' file.

You can merge Northern Ireland as a state into Ireland.

I can send you a DM with a new XML file that could help.

I'd put an attachment but it exceeds the file size limit.
