2003 has just been posted. I'm going to wait a little bit longer to post updates for the older seasons, because I don't have as many changes for them as I'd like yet.

Aaaand I think I've got enough for an update now. Revisions of all seasons from 1954 through 1990 have just been posted.

Big update today:

New seasons: 2004 and 2005. I think there are other photopacks out there covering 2006 to the present, so guess I won't be making any new ones beyond 2005. Updates from now on can just concentrate on updating the packs that already exist.

Updated packs: 1951-52, '56 through '88, '91, '94 through '97 and '99-2000. There was also a tiny update to 2002 and 2003 when the Royals had a new logo but the logo folders still had the old one.

"Off-season update" with over 250 players redone. 1958, 1960-63, 1965 through '91 and 1996 through 2000 have been updated.

I figure this is in the spirit of why we share and post our stuff here, so other people can make use of it.... but if anyone objects for any reason, I'll replace pictures by.... probably ending up colorizing whatever B&W picture had been colorized by someone else in the first place, I mean older seasons don't always have much to choose from

I actually began work on this four years ago but gave up because too many players simply could not be found, and my photo editing skills were not good at all. But after seeing the work done by members of this forum unearthing and colorizing photos I was inspired last year to give it another go and I finally got it finished. So this could never have been done without the dedication of all the people here.

There are fourteen vintage seasons here in total, consisting of: 1947, '48, '55, '58, '61, '62, '63, '64, '69, '77, '83, '92, '93 and '98.

They can be downloaded here.

I will be posting a big update in a few weeks. Have been aggressive about trying to eliminate as many colorized B&W images from the '70s and '80s sets as I can (Cleveland '72 and '78 will benefit the most in that department).

Say you are doing a career play starting with 1964.
How can you set it up using the photopack so that at the start of each year a the corresponding photopack is loaded.
It seems the pack and the engine would need to suffix with _year to work correctly

Each saved game has its own image folder, just unzip the contents of each pack into each corresponding folder.

I guess if you want to keep all your stuff in the same saved game rolling through year after year, you'll have to empty out the person_pictures folder at the end of each season and restock it with the new year's photos, like changing the filter or smoke detector batteries.

All-Star break update! 1958, '59, '61, '63 through '93, '95, '97 and 2004 have been updated. I didn't think it had been over a year between updates; will try not to go quite so long in the future.
