Coaching Job Screen
I have afew questions about the Available Jobs screen from the Manager Options Page in PtG. I have been playing as the GM/Coach of a Federal League team for 6 seasons now in multiple playthroughs and I have never seen a job opening on the this screen.
I was also wondering how job offers work it seems so random when they come and from who? I'd really like to move to the OHL some day! What factors go into getting new job offers? |

The job offers are for naturally occurring job openings, i.e. firings, retirements, etc., and the team will identify a pool of the best candidates it can realistically approach, and choose one of them to make an offer to (slightly preferring the player over other candidates.) A Federal League start will leave you pretty far down the ladder in North America for building a reputation, and being employed will also be an impediment to getting a job from a mid-season firing (but not offseason ones.) Being unemployed also gives a bit of a boost to your chances at getting considered, at least by lower-level leagues (just as a game mechanism, so you're not stuck without a job for long.) If you want to maximize your chance at a new offer, you can try moving up by quitting: I'd suggest making a separate save, resigning right after your FHL team's season ends, and then advance - I'd expect to see new offers within a few weeks.
