newbie needing advice

I've heard great things about OOTP and hope to figure it out and start enjoying soon. I've read the online manual, watched the videos and played around a little. I'm not sure if I can do the things I want, but thought I should come here and ask.

I am interested in replaying all of the MLB seasons from 1951 to 1990. I want the replays to be as realistic as possible. A few questions:

1) When I loaded the historical leagues I checked the boxes on screen 2 that would allow real transactions. To experiment, I simulated a season. Transactions were made ...... but they aren't real transactions. Guys were traded that never played on the teams they were traded to. I can take teams over and do all the real moves manually, but that would be more of a pain. Does this game make the real trades and transactions that were made in the real world? If so, how do I do it?

2) The stadiums that are used aren't the real stadiums or the real stadium dimensions. How can real stadiums be incorporated into my program (my son told me that they can be)

I'm sure I will have other questions, but those are a start! Thanks in advance for any help

2) have you loaded Pstickert Historical Ballparks? He has a great collection available.
they are available from add ons central .... you'll need to add mods server ... here's a link on how to (for PC)

OOTP Community Hub | OOTPB mods

1) not certain i can help you with this one, as i'm not at my game computer ... might need to also have import historical rookies checked. i can't recall the exact screen - but under League setting> historical there might be some setting you can click. Some may only be available in offseason or preseason. Not certain without the game in front of me. Good luck and hopefully someone can help you better with this one.
