Suomi-Sarja league question

I'm working my way up through the ranks, and I'm currently in the Suomi-Sarja Finnish league. I guess it's no wonder the previous GM got fired, as he has $11,000 tied up in one player. So my question is, does anyone know if I buyout his rights, will that free up the $11,000 in my plauer budget, or is there some buyout rules in this league I should be aware of?

Should directly free that amount from the budget.

Thanks. It actually freed about 8K of it, but the game crashed shortly after so it didn't really matter. Had to start over.
