Assistant coaches with no role

Hello,

I signed new coaches and they don't actually play a role in training.
McCabe has been with the team from the beginning, so he is the only one who still has a role.
Sometimes, most of my players on my NHL team do not upgrade at all or defensemen get +1 in faceoff.
Also, I don't understand how the training section works, because players rarely gain attributes in the training category I put them in.

If you would be so kind as to help me.
I probably don't understand how the game works...

The boxes at the bottom should be updating when you sign new staff, that looks like a bug.

There's an explanation in the manual of the basics of the training screen: Out of the Park Developments Online Manuals

Well, it's been more then two years now....so what should I do?

You can set roles manually by right clicking coach and then choosing role.

Nope, can't do.

I can only release them, which I tried before.
