I just traded for Joey gallo and that koela guy from texas (no i didn't force it) and i want to lock him up. The problem is he has only played like 50 career games in the big leagues should i extend him or wait?

So he's making league minimum for a couple more years and then will be arbitration eligible after that? Save your money and don't worry about trying to lock him up until the last year or two of arbitration eligibility.
