Issue with 4k monitor resolution

I got a new laptop a little over a year ago with a 4k screen. Ever since then, I haven't been able to get FHM (or OOTP for that matter) to run at a resolution I am happy with. Before my current laptop I had a 1080p laptop that ran OOTP and FHM flawlessly, so I know what I could/should be getting.

First let me say that FHM 3 is a massive upgrade over FHM 2 in this regard, FHM 2 was unplayable with how small the text was at 4k. However, in FHM 3 the opposite seems to be in effect here (for me at least). It's not unplayable necessarily, but I know my experience could be so much better if I was getting an appropriate resolution. Since it would be easier to show you my problem than try to explain it, here's a screenshot of what my game looks like (I'd post the pic itself but it's obnoxiously large): http://i.imgur.com/0P9mL8y.jpg

Everything is just so big, I'm not getting as much information as I know I could be. Also notice the taskbar cutting off the game window at the bottom-- it's like this no matter what settings I have it on, and changing them around makes no difference (i.e. Windowed/Full Screen, Maximized/1920x1080/1360x768, etc).

What I'd like it to look like is how it looks in the first screenshot in this link: http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...al-system.html (not the best quality screenshot there but it gives a good idea, can't find anything better for comparison atm). That is what my OOTP/FHM looked like when I had a 1080p laptop (in terms of the amount of information on the screen while still being easily readable), but ever since I've had a 4k laptop I can't seem to figure how to get back to that point.

Any help would be greatly appreciated, I just want to get back to playing OOTP and FHM like I used to be able to on my old laptop! Thanks in advance!

I guess I'm just out of luck? It could be my laptop being funny I guess and not a problem with the game itself, it's just always been an issue since I bought it. Anyone else out there with 4k having similar problems?

Best would be if you could post a trace file. Go to Settings -> Troubleshooting -> enable debug trace, then restart the game and go again to Troubleshooting. Open the "customization data" folder (click the button and it should open) and navigate into the debug folder. Post the file you see there.
