How to hand pick historical players for teams
For many years, my friends and I have created All Time Franchise teams for our favorites and then played a full season where we manage our favorites and the computer manages all the other teams. We choose each player's best year with that franchise. We have done this using Microleague Baseball and Diamond Mind Baseball in the past but I am new to OOTP and can't seem to figure out how to do this.
Basically I need to hand pick rosters for every team pulling from all the historical teams. For example, my Dodgers have 1949 Jackie Robinson, 1965 Sandy Koufax, 2014 Clayton Kershaw, etc. Is this even possible? Seems like I have to use established rosters or do a draft where all players are eligible and I have no control where they end up. Maybe I could start with established rosters and then trade like crazy? Or is there a way to manually select a team's roster form the very beginning? I would greatly appreciate any help with this. |

You need to be in Commissioner mode. Once you've imported the players (see the Free Agent scree) you can go into the editor and assign the players to teams.

You can import players in bulk through a text file, if you want. At least, you could a few versions ago. Not sure if that's still available or not.
