Modeling use of long reliever - ala Andrew Miller
Is there a way to model who the Indians are using Andrew Miller as a long reliever in that he is acting as a 'stopper' thus eliminating the need for the traditional set-up and closer positions?
I know I can manage this myself but I am wondering how it could be implemented in a sim. Any thoughts? I also realize that how he is being used the playoffs would not work across a full season, but man is it amazing to watch now and potentially changing how GM's will view guys like him in free agency.

OOTP 17 supports the use of a "leverage" option in the depth charts. You can now select to use a player as your best option in high leverage situations and, alternative, only use others in low leverage situations.
I know it's not exactly how the Indians use Miller, but it's better than how it used to be in the game. And watching how guys like Tito and Dave Roberts have used their bullpen in the postseason has been great. It's high time that teams got away from the "it's the 9th inning with none on and no outs, time to big in my closer so he can get the save." mindset. Your best reliever should be used in highest leverage situations. I mean, Cody Allen is a very good reliever, but he's not better than Andrew Miller. That's why Tito goes with Miller when it matters the most. As the postseason goes on, every day makes Buck Showalter's decision to "save" Zach Britton look even more foolish.

there is also the "stopper" role (which if I recall correctly) becomes an option if you turn down the frequency of closer usage
