Randomize or Fix Player Contracts?
I somehow managed to create a league that has every player on every team making a rookie scale contract , meaning not just the league minimum for this year, but for several years in the future.
Is there a function or button to randomize contracts? Thanks for your help! |

I am pretty sure there is an option to Apply Fictional Contracts in the Functions Tab. Look in that screen.
Commissioner Mode-> Settings

I found it . Clicked it and it did nothing lol. Go figure... I will delve more deeply into it. Don't know if the function itself is broken or if I managed to do something in my league that is causing the button to not work.

Maybe your salary settings are wrong in the league financial setup? Check league menu -> settings -> financials

I appreciate you responding Markus. I am not sure if it is salvageable. I think I figured out what is wrong. What I did was turn on the age creation modifiers before the draft and had it set for all players to be created between the ages of 21-23 and then I did the initial draft. Therefore everyone who was created is a rookie and my entire league is players between 21-23 so I think I need to find a button that randomizes service time lol but I don't think that exists. I am not very far into this new league so I might just restart it unless anyone has other ideas on how to fix this. I suppose I could make everyone into a free agent after the first year

It seems to me that a world in which all of the players start out young and inexperienced is an interesting concept. One can suppose that baseball has just been introduced and has become a youth fad, while the elders stick to curling or cricket or metric football. If I were you, I keep it and see what develops.

I agree with Tom Veal. That would be very interesting. The ENTIRE history of the league will be yours.
