Error message: Not enough players to create lineup

After a preseason game, if you clear the lineup and then click AI lines for the Boston Bruins, it gives this error message. Now I can't get out of this screen.

Which screen, exactly? Are you on the one you can switch to via the "Strategy" button that's visible while watching a game, or the one accessible via the Team + League Controls menu?
