GM Only Question
In a GM only league, I'm the commissioner, and I've always had the ability to do whatever I please as GM of the Angels (started in OOTP 16, real life schedule so now 2 years completed).
Is this how it always is, or is Scoscia really that lenient? I've even tried turning off commissioner mode, and I can still do whatever I want. I just want to ensure I'm not at some advantage over the other 29 guys in the league. Sent from my SM-G930P using Tapatalk |

With Commissioner mode unchecked, give it some time...
About all I can suggest? Maybe the Scoscia dynamic will change over time? Last edited by Winnipeg59; 10-08-2016 at 08:18 AM. Reason: Revised my answer |

Are you saying you can edit players, like ratings and such when not in Commish Mode? Because turning off Commish Mode won't stop you from running the team if you're still appointed as GM. It should prevent you from editing players/some league settings.

Suggestion.
1) BACK UP the file first! ![]() 2) In the original file resign as GM of Angels and find a team with the most hands-on Manager possible and become that team's GM ONLY. See if he let's you have free reign? 3) After you have answers to your dilemma, restore the backup and continue with Angels. That should tell you whether it's a bug or Mike is simply the nicest manager in baseball!

You don't have legacy mode on, do you?

Might help to see a screenshot of the manager's strategy page with the green/yellow/red lights, etc...

go to team strategy page... how much is red and yellow? that indicates what the manager will control themselves. if that contradicts what you are experiencing, then do the other suggestions. make sure it's broken first before expending time on it.
global settings -> legacy mode check box - defintely a spot to look. manager office -> control settings and the last tab in that section, too - the page with the checkbox for "do not disturb" and message settings. team settings - w/ Commisoner mode on - there's a checkbox labeld "Prevent AI from making roster changes" you want that unchecked, from what i can tell. this setting has many side effects as compared to "legacy gm" mode. if you do pick between the too at a later time, use legacy mode. |

Ah, now that DOES work--there are only certain things I can adjust with strategy. The lineup and pitching staff though, I can do whatever I please.
