creating a fictional country
how would you be able to create a fictional country in the game to use instead of real countries

You can either edit the XML file, which is the difficult way.
Or you can go to Game...Explore World...click on any nation...Nation Editor...Add a new nation Also, shoot me a PM about the WBA. |

Yes, editing the XML file it's the difficult way, but it's also probably the best way.
Reds1 is the board member who is probably the best one to talk to about this.

Modifying the world.xml file, once you get the hang of it, is quicker.

finally got the chance to try and run through this and add a new world. I cant seem to find a free way toedit the file. any suggestions for what I could use?

+1 for Notepad++. Technically you can use plain old Notepad, but Notepad++ does syntax highlighting which is terrifically helpful.
