Suspensions for brawls too long ?

According to Yahoo, the longest suspensions for brawls since 2000 are 10 games ...

For a suspension that long I'd kind of like to know what the suspension was for. If my catcher gets suspended for performing a double Nelson on some douchebag rookie giving him lip I'll accept any amount as just and necessary and worth the cause, but if it's Mister Overpriced-Veteran-Batting-.190 flipping the bird to a fan, I'd quite like to know so I can think of some way or other to make it up to him.
