Historical Minors - if they can't go back to 1901 (i know they weren't associated with any teams then but they did exist) either let us make an association manually, or be able to create our own minor leagues and have them be recognized by the game, even when the "real" minors do appear.

Negro Leagues - not certain how to create them as an Independent but equal league to the majors and be able to trade between majors or other NL teams and then have a WS at the end of a season. If not, make them independent minors that could be manually associated with major league teams.

edit: oh yeah, and the ability to trade players from International complex (at least, to another teams complex).

That could be possible with some additions to the schedule file structure. It's something into which I've put some thought.

Ability to setup and play a college universe with all conferences with players entering from high school and leaving after no more than four years eligibility. Not sure how recruiting could/would be handled though

This would improve immersion so much since you could follow a guy since high school without having to make feeder leagues yourself(which has proven to be rather difficult for me). I would love for this to happen but i doubt it's realistic since it would be very hard to implement in the game and the NCAA license would be a hassle, if not an impossibility

You could have colleges do a high school draft or something.

I'd like to be able to attach the real current minor league system to a fictional league without having to create two leagues and deleting one.

My #1 want is an editor screen in-game to update / add stats. The process of exporting and importing is never easy - I would love to be able to go into a player within the game and add stats.

The ability to shop around a package of players (or at least a package of two players).

How about the ability to set an alert tone of your choice when an action in a game happens (HR, hit, inning over, etc.). I sometimes leave my game in real time sim while doing chores around the house and I figure this would be a nice little addition.

Also, Vegas odds/line on each days games would add quite a bit of immersion for me.

My 18 wishlist:

League associations for minor leagues
Support for alternate jerseys! (inline with the current file naming convention)
Addition of Little Leages

I would like to see player development contracts.

Ability to move to make player development contracts with your affiliates and the ability to move them if there facilities and other variables arent up to your satisfaction.

I'm also interested in seeing some hospitality jobs become available. I would like to see how I do as Director of Concession Operations at Fenway in the 1940's.

What I would love to see are more immersive stats. The upcoming opponent report should also tell you who on the opposing team is hot, or cold, or if one of your players does well or poorly against that opponent.
I would love to see franchise v. franchise historical records (win/loss at home, on the road, etc).
Some sort of rivalry system where you can either designate a rival or the game selects one based on previous win-loss records. The rivalry games should boost the attendance figures for your franchise.
Front office personnel and managers getting selected for the Hall of Fame. The GMs/scouts could be tracked by the number of top players drafted/developed.

More screens that display the tremendously cool uniforms and logos.

My usual: add more flavour text! More and more flavour text! So even beginners can feel immersed in the league.

And updates along the way -- for example, fans say to you how are you going after every week. That way, long 162-games season will be smaller

It isn't necessarily a specific 'rival' club that could increase attendance. Certain clubs tend to be a better draw than others—this can be objectively measured by looking at the away attendance for each club.

alternate jerseys would be awesome...
on the logo and jerseys setting screen, there would be a spot for home, home alt1, home alt 2, away and away alt 1, away alt 2
when you play a game out, either the game would randomly choose which jersey to put the teams in or it would prompt YOU to decide which jersey to put the teams in.

The two items I hope to see most are:

1) A more customizable interface for the player/personnel lists: an actual ability to control font size and ESPECIALLY column width would be very helpful. Staring at 8-point font even at the "largest" setting is literally painful.

2) Better integration of non-MLB players (I know this is high on a lot of people's lists). It would be really nice to be able to use the players not available through the Spritze DB in my fictional league.

Beyond that, the in-game PBP could really use some major improvements, and there's always the holy grail of actual head-to-head game play, but those are secondary to the above, which would have a much greater effect on my enjoyment of the game.

I would like to see Player Development CHARTS. Line graphs that show ratings for CON/POW/EYE and STU/MOV/CON over time. Y-AXIS for ratings, X-AXIS for time. Six lines per chart (varying by batter or pitcher): Three for current ratings, three for potential ratings

The Development Reports are too tedious to track in detail because each one shows minor fluctuations up and down so that their usefulness is minimized. I want line graphs that smooth the curves and show the overall trends as players mature and age.

Yes. The ability to resize windows in places like the Manager's Office to better accommodate larger font sizes would be nice.
