Can't one of them play first? Rotate them? Platoon them? Convert one to another position?

I usually always plan to have one starter more than actually neccesary in terms of position players, because with injuries, suspensions, platooning, whatever, the 10th guy will get starter level playing time as well....

Even better, he:

• kept his patience in 1947 (i.e., I never received a nastygram from him, the kiss of death with me).
• cracked the lineup in 1948 and won a Silver Bat Award (best hitter at his position).
• turned in his second 100 RBI season and helped the team to a championship in 1949.

He's happy, I'm happy. A true success story!
