1st Annual OOTP Convention---is it a far fetched idea?
Is this a far fetched idea and does it have merit?
How about holding the 1st OOTP gamer convention in an American city..........let's say Orlando, Florida in the spring of 2017 (during spring training and coincides with Easter or spring breaks) in which we all meet to discuss OOTP games.......on line leagues and solo players! OOTP gamers can schedule a family vacation near Disney or Spring Training sites..........let's say we meet for a 2-3 day convention, have Commish's from various leagues with a "booth", discussion groups, and speakers from people in the OOTP world! Perhaps Marcus and staff can arrange and promote it offering a "convention fee" and hotel discounts, etc. This is another way to get our heads together to promote the game and discuss all our needs and wants! What do you think ? |

Much easier to implement idea how about a OOTP podcast. Got the idea when i found a Football Manager podcast. They talk about different saves they have, strategies they might use, and how things progress. Anyone is free to take this idea and run with it.

you can't enjoy drinks, go out to dinner, or enjoy a ST ballgame on a podcast.

I like the idea .... However I think it be best for regional areas FIRST. For many of us do not have vacation time or the extensive cash to go flying off to one corner of US. Example if you live in the NE then settle on an area like NYC or if in Midwest say Chicago or Detroit or Indianaplis. SE side could be Atlanta or Orlando. I think you get the idea. I doubt many would show if only one place that's over 1000 miles or more away. I think it be best for a location regionally that is only a few hours drive away.

I can only dream of the stats only vs scouting debates face to face. I imagine they would be far less entertaining though
