Option to talk to players and relationship system with AI GMs
1. Option to talk to players
Let's say I have a player who is struggling, it doesn't matter if he is young or veteran. I want to be able to encourage him and tell him "I belive in you, keep working hard". Or maybe he is one of those players who require harsh treatment so I threaten him that I will send him back to minors if he doesn't pick up his game. 2. Developing relationships with AI GMs From my experience playing OOTP (I play a standard MLB game with Astros) so far I noticed there are three types of teams: - teams who are always willing to trade with you (Reds, Pirates, Rays, Giants in my save) - teams who never want to trade with me, no matter what I offer them and - teams who constantly offer me bizarre trades. When you start a new game you would have neutral relationship with all AI GMs. Depending on what kind of trades you offer them you could develop extremely hostile or friendly relationship with them. For example, if I constantly offer my career minor league catcher for his ace he will eventually say stop calling me, I don't want to trade with you. Or if I am more willing to trade my better players for his better players he would become more friendly to me, meaning that future trades with that GM would become more easier. Theoretically you could put yourself in a situation where every GM in the league hates you, or loves you. I can assume that in real life MLB there are GMs who are friends, and than there are GMs who simply can't stand each other. |
