Denied for years, then it happens twice (no hitter)
Had to share that I've been an OOTP guy for years and had never had a game I was managing with my starter pitching a no hitter. This season, Gio Gonzales has done it twice already (April 5th and May 14th). Now I want to get the perfect game to go with it!

Congrats! It took me years to get my first as well.

I had Stephen Strasburg throw a perfect game and a no-no in the same year. But in 6 years those two were the only ones I've seen directly.

1 time I was playing OOTP 12 as the Padres, and had Aaron Harang throw a perfect game on Opening Day, then a month later throw another one with 14 K's. Haven't seen a no no or perfecto since

Been a regular here since OOTP 9. Still no-hitter-less.

My very first OOTP was 2001 (got every version since) my first came in 2014 so it took me literally 13 years to get a no-hitter and my first perfect game came this year.

In my 15 seasons manually played in my MLB Quickstart league, I've had 2-no hitters. The first one happened in my 5th season, the second in my 11th season. Definitely just achievable enough to always be in mind once I get to the 7th inning, but still rare enough to feel really special.

I'm just happy if my pitcher no-hits through 3. Makes it a lot easier to pitch the rest of the game. the closest I've been to a no-no was the 7th inning.

saw this post today and was thinking I had never gotten one in a game I played, tho I had simmed a combined one for the all-star game
then today, opening day, my big free agent signing Jose Fernandez gets one against the Marlins even, to add insult to injury

I've only had one perfect game or no no (I've had 16 for a bit over a year and 300+ hours played) and I don't play out games too often. In my Brewers rebuild I traded Braun and some low level prospects to win now KC for Brandon Finnegan who had 5 potential and a couple other decent prospects who I think I ended up flipping later. Finnegan became a starter in my first or second season, putting up a 4 ERA. However, the next year he hit his potential, threw a perfect game after a poor April and then became my ace with a couple Kershaw-like seasons that won MVPs and had an undefeated season of 23-0. He's had some bad luck the past couple years on 100ish win teams but I think he still currently is the all time win percentage leader.
