This worked fine pre-patch.
Some saying this patch have nothing broken, that wasn't broken before.
That worries me, since this lineup "problem" wasn't present in 17.6.46.

To me it sounds like lots have been broken and I do hope OOTP blokes taking a carefull look at things. I'm still hopeful we get something that don't have these heartbraking issues mentioned.

The game has "millions" options and features so it's damn hard to find what works at a patch and what then gets broken, but if someone reports a problem I take it full value. Then I make a estimate how big that problem is.
Still anything with 3D could be going on for some extra versions since it's new, but the other stuff mentioned worked before and should work in upcoming patches.

If you uncheck the option for "Auto sync lineups and depth charts" you can then add starters onto the depth chart

Among the "million" option were do I find this ? It sounds very good indeed and then it might not be a bug.
Perhaps it's a new feature "after" 17.6.46.
I don't dare patch until I know for sure.

They're talking about this box here, on your Lineups screen. This feature has been around for a couple of versions now, I believe, so it's nothing new. Also, it's sticky from one game session to the next - I just tested it.

I just try not to be on the bleeding edge of patches (I let others find the issues if I can). I also have 2 computers I run OOTP on because I am in 3 leagues and run a 4th so sometimes can't patch everything at the same time.
It sounds like you have one for each version though (patches & updates included)

Well I make one for each version (patches & updates included) but don't keep them around after the newer patch/update proves to be good. Just keep them around while I might want to go back.

The update caused Awards like Great Glove and Slugger not given out to anyone...again.

This was a season started fresh with new update. I tested it on a previous version of the game but it didn't help. Maybe its the file then? That would really suck, I put a lot of work into it in a short time. I guess I wait on this load until their are answers.

However by turning back the clock on the updates I got rid of my black pawns in 3D

By any chance were international amateur demands adjusted for the next patch? Thanks.

i simmed some years last night... awards are / were working fine for 10-20 years.

so, it may be something local causing it, as opposed to the patch. i did rename mine, but that shouldnt matter. Rawlings Gold Glove etc... i know hof can be made human only voting... don't think the awards work that way, though...

I am able to manually give the awards but when I enter that screen and hit Computer help it only fills in solo awards not gloves and sluggers. Where typically it would populate all awards. This is why it cant award any automatically but I don't know what is causing it.

Make sure your league's games per team (under the schedule options) is set correctly. We use that as a minimum filter, so if you have adjusted your league schedule down without adjusting that value, we may not treat anyone as "qualified" at the position.

Just something I hadn't thought of. It's a good idea for now actually. Hopefully not needed much longer.

Thank you. The league schedule is default. 162 games.

Even as they improve the patch process I will continue to do this. I worked in the software industry and no matter how much care you take some bugs can and do slip through the testing process. So for a little a time on my part, very little, I will have some peace of mind.

do not know if this is another bug in the patch?

in my game when I would go to : MLB > League History > History Index
and then select a year such as 1992 AL

along with all other info it would also show that years "Award Winners" such as CY Young winner, MVP, Rookie of the year as well as the players who were selected to play in the All-Star game, now when I do this none of this shows

First 2 screen shots are of my 1992 AL Season Records and the 3rd screen shot is of my just completed 1997 AL Season Records

I do not beleive any "toggles' have been switched off or on, and think this only started after the new patch was installed (I have steam, sono way to not install patch). and for the record (those who are of the non-steam club anti-sympathizers ---- If it was not for my son and Steam I would have never learned of this game, had no clue it was out there nor did I know I could purchase it any place other than Steam)

Chillidog, I believe that info only shows up once the season is completed and you sim past the off-season into the next calender year. It will eventually populate with all of the information.

ah so it's the "ask computer" button that's the problem. mention that in the bugs forum. (ugh did i miss that in original post?)

i wasn't simming to play the game, so i had that stuff all automated and on its own.

i thought it was understood in the first post but maybe not: and you don't keep a copy of every single patch, because that wouldn't make sense. at any one time you have 1 or 2 as a backup in addition to the current patch. they are tiny files for any computer built in the last 7 years.

i'm totally pulling a nick burns here.... don't care.

unfortunately no, the 1992 season is the last season these "awards" or "All-stars" show up, all completed seasons after 1992 they do not show, so I think it has to do with the patch. the 1997 season was completed and had progressed to the off season, and now I am into Spring training for 1998 and they still do not show,it is unfortunately still the same as the screen shot
