Ability to change lineups at pre-game screen without being coach

I have a specific way I like to set my lineup depending on who is available for a certain game (based LR splits and the depth chart rotations I've set up). I control lineups and staff as a GM, but let my coach control the games, which I watch in 3D.

The problem is that even though I have control of the lineups, I cannot redo the batting order pre-game if the manager has control. So I have to manually switch sub control to myself, change the lineup, then start the game in "pause after each play" mode, and manually change back control to the AI manager. I have noticed when doing this that AI is less likely to use my defensive subs when the game is started this way too. If I leave it alone pre-game, he uses the subs as instructed.

Note that 7 day lineups do not solve my problem because I want my depth chart assignments to control when players rotate.
