Pitcher--pop up info
When rolling cursor over pitcher and you get his pop up, can we show something a little bit more informative than BB and Ks. Replace both with WH/IP would be my suggestion but about anything would be better than walks and Ks.
Also, instead of showing current, last year and 2 years ago stats, how about current, last year, and career stats. Same with batters, I don't care about 2 years ago stats but would be interested in career stats. |

What's wrong with walks and strikeouts? Look, I don't mind WHIP as a stat but the old-time stats aren't ever going away and moving to sabermetric-heavy info screens would turn off large portions of the market share. It's just pragmatic to include traditional stats on the quick displays.

Nothing wrong with walks and strikeouts but aren't hits given up by a pitcher just as important as the number of walks he gave up??? Okay, I'll compromise, include both hits allowed and walks allowed. I just wanted to cut down the clutter and just call it WHIPs. Plus WHIPs, Batting Averages, On base Percentage are easy ways to compare players. Just saying a pitcher pitched 149 innings and gave up 43 walks on that pop up screen really doesn't tell me very much about effective he's been.

K/BB rate is among the best ways to evaluate a pitcher IMO.

WHIP is a terrible stat.
Anything that doesn't differentiate between a single and a home run is pretty much useless. Kind of like batting average.

Hopefully some day the OOTP will provide us the option of picking what stats we want to see in popups.
