Does leadership ability have any effect when morale is turned off?

I know that leadership ability generally affects clubhouse morale so I was wondering if it had any effect when the morale system is turned off. Thanks in advance!

I think the manual says that leadership also affects development of other players so it's unclear to me if it still works. FWIW there are two separate check boxes for personalities and morale being on/off.

I turned morale off because I was sick of guys hitting 330 with a 900 ops being mad at hitting in the 5 spot instead of leading off. i used it for 5 seasons but I just don't want to micromanage everybodies happiness anymore.

then it will affect the things it normally affects, sans morale, if you have personalities on and morale off. any effect morale has on personality's influence would also not exist, if it does. some things require detail of how it's coded. there are multiple rational/logical ways in which it could work and seem the same from our point of view.
