Scouting Discrepancies
So I'm looking to trade for some prospects to boost my minor leagues and am finding some oddities.
My current scout is Legendary for the majors and International though only Good for minors and ameteurs. The OSA lists Aristides Veneranda as a 5 star potential while my scout says 1 star. The player is in the Dominican Summer League. The current and potentials from OSA are Con 40 / 55, Pow 40 / 75 and Eye 55 / 70. My scout says 40 / 45, 45 / 65 and 50 / 70. So while different the difference is small. Any suggestions as to why the 4 star potential difference? Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-N910A using Tapatalk

You might want to check position ratings and speed. Your scout may simply have different priorities than the OSA. It's possible the player is awful at defending or slow as a snail, and while the OSA doesn't mind, your scout does.
You can also post a screenshot showing the two different evaluations. It's probably not all that odd once you take all the factors into account... I mean, I would be wary of below-average contact potential, too. |

I wouldn't say there's a "small" difference between those two reports. One scout is saying he's a .240 hitter with 25 HR, the other a .280 hitter with 35 HR. That's the difference between Trevor Plouffe and Manny Machado, offensively (last year anyway).
