It's Tebow Time!

so with the news that Tim Tebow will be pursuing a baseball career, anyone want to take a stab at creating him? I know he has no chance to get past A ball, but it's fun nonetheless

I think Tebow would do better than most people give him credit for. People underestimated him in the NFL level and they will do so again in MLB.

The guy completed 48% of his passes. He's a great athlete but so was Michael Jordan and he couldn't adjust to minor league pitching after 10+ years away, and neither will Tebow.

You do realize he hasn't played since junior year in High School right?
Plus people didn't really underestimate him, he wasn't a very good quarterback who had a fluke year.
It is weird that the guy who wouldn't thing about playing any other position than QB...all of the sudden wants to play baseball.

I wouldn't count him out entirely. He's a freak in terms of athleticism. But.... At 29, and ten years removed from playing the game his chances are pretty slim especially as a position player.

When he signs a professional contract, the roster team will put him in the game.

And then the AI will probably release him

I think the fact that he's going from football quarterback to baseball HITTER is all we need to know about his quarterbacking skills.

So tired of this. To be a quarterback in the NFL, you have to be able to read defenses. He couldn't do that. You have to be able to deliver the ball to the receiver accurately and on time. He couldn't do that. You have to make quick decisions. He couldn't do that. On and on it goes. So tired of people who want Tebow to be great because the perceive him as a great guy. Maybe he is a great guy. He never stole a freight train, as the saying goes. There's a big difference, however in being a great college quarterback and being an NFL quarterback. He was never good enough to be an NFL quarterback. If he was, he'd be playing. Period. Don't give me any of that, "They didn't like him because he was too religious" nonsense, either. Kurt Warner is very outspoken about his religion. Russel Wilson is very outspoken about his religion. Those guys have/had no trouble making an NFL roster and making a lot of money because they can/could play the position. Tebow couldn't. Rant over.

As for baseball, he only played high school, so good luck with that at 29. Again, if he was some 5 tool superstar, someone would have already been begging to sign him as soon as he was released by the NFL. Tired of this damn fool. Go be a missionary somewhere and have a nice life.

I created him as a free agent in my game. I put him as a three star prospect based off his athletic ability, but very very raw so the odds of him becoming a three star player are not all that good
