Anyone else having problems in Season and Career Stats, when I try to sort by position it is not accurate.

Can that even be brought back by another patch? If that info is gone forever, that essentially wipes out the league.

Depends. If we're talking about real-life players in the MLB QuickStart, you're correct. If we're talking about an actual issue with player histories in all leagues including fictional files, then it's a game bug.

no, it has nothing to do with players being released. look at what happens as i sim day by day. These are the same players being assigned and unassigned pitching roles. This did not happen until this patch.

I lucked out and found a week old backup from before the patch. Then I unlicensed, uninstalled, and loaded up the setup file from version 60, the older pach. So in essence, what I have done is eliminated the new patch version and loaded an old patch league file.

So I lost a week's worth of gaming but I will just have to play those games again.

FWIW, I kept a copy of the patch 65 league in case Markus or Matt comes up with a miracle.

I did post 128, it was a save game created under the previous version. I just happened to have one saved on my laptop. See the post before this one.

I am not able to reproduce this with the newest build (coming Tuesday), so I guess it is indeed fixed now.

Markus, I hope that you are considering implementing a public test period for new patches in the future. Specially for people using steam, we have no way of rolling it back plus it patches the game automatically. We are now stuck until a new patch is release.

I just updated to the new patch and got an error message saying that the file world dat is missing! I am running it on Windows 10 and haven't had any issues to this point. The next message says it is either corrupt or a save game from an old version. Is there a solution? I have spent quite a bit of game time on this save, and have just about made it to the playoffs.

Try restoring from your most recent backup, see if it works.

In my opinion the next patch should be a roll-back one to the previous version, and leave things alone until 18 comes about. Today would be a great day for having all those wonderful reviews updated as well.

Alas, no backup because Ootp has always been so reliable for me(been playing since at least 11)never had a corrupt file before. Looked at the folders and the save is still there, so maybe a fresh install will help? Or maybe a quickfix will come along?

Same thing happened to me. The patch cleared my setting pointing to my data directory. I had to set my data folder in the settings and then everything worked again.
