It is just that everyone got released!

Seriously, maybe we can have a new "patch" that goes back to the prior version as with New Coke.

I just wish this patch wasn't forced down steam-users throats. At this point I do not care about the new updates, I just want to play the game I was playing.

I had 1059 players released in a 3 day period after the patch. There are no limits of any kind on any of my leagues.

Minor league players were released on the first day I simmed and one was a top prospect. I don't even allow the AI to sign and release minor league players.

Red/Green promotion arrows and projected pitching matchups both disappeared since the patch in my game.

I'm in my second season of my fictional league. Starting my second preseason game. The game will not generate preseason predictions. It's telling me I must start my preseason. ????????

Moreover, as I mentioned previously, my league has many more 5-star relief pitchers than I had before, but the scouting reports still list most of these players as 4 stars. Are their true ratings leaking through the scouting "fog of war"?

By the way, my players are evaluated based on pure ratings, not ratings plus stats.

I felt the need to add this so that people won't think this is just a roster management issue. It may be partly that but I think there are bigger problems that were created with evaluation/scouting.

I had a number of players who, before the patch, were thought by my scouts to belong at a lower level of my minor leagues. All of those "probably overmatched at <level>" messages disappeared with the patch. Again, I would guess that is because my scouts are no longer recognizing or evaluating very well whether my player belongs at a lower level. It may not be a coding error as to the arrows themselves.
This guy may have the answer. It certainly makes sense and although I am not seeing this issue, I can no longer deny or argue against it. The rule of thumb that I often use when replying to somebody who has what looks like an isolated problem is that the forums would be frequented with many other game players having the same issue. I see that this is the case now.

Big T, I'm glad to see your reply as I thought I was the only one having problems with the 3D. The 3D has made the game much more enjoyable for me, but with the fielders' labels blocking the animation and the ball fluttering like a wounded duck, the game is no longer playable. Like others I hope there is a way to go back to what was as this new patch was ill-advised.

It appears that their is a lack of player fatigue as well. A crazy percentage of players play 95-100% of the innings as position players and pitchers start every 2 or 3 days.

No disrespect intended, but it sounds like this patch is an absolute mess.

It's always a good idea to hold off and let other people test it. Then again, if everyone had that same idea, there would be nobody to find the issues.

Either way, I'm glad I held off. Sounds like there are multiple problems coming up with this one patch. Now Spritze just brought up another issue. Has someone compiled a list of the issues?

see the post starting at #114 in this post ... actually read 114 thru 128 ... might help......

you will lose anything you've customized. so be certain to save those and reload them as needed.

but --- be aware Matt says you can't do it with a current save, but one person in this thread did re-install an earlier patch (post #128), but i am not certain what save-game he managed to restore .... so ...

Can someone answer my question? I have asked several times on this forum and have submitted a bug with minimal to no responses. Has this most current patch addressed the issue with historical drafts? I started a historical league in 1969 and numerous players that are drafted and subsequently sign minor league deals end up signing with another team the next year. They were not traded or released just signed with another team. I am asking if I gave setting wrong. Looking for guidance.

And I'd like to make a suggestion to OOTPD here to manage Steam.

It's generally good form to put a "previous build" depot in Steam, so if the latest push has some issues with some players, they have an easy way to back out and go to a working previous version.

This appeared to be fixed in beta patches 61-64. I do not know about patch 65 as it is a bit confounding. With the new release bug I don't know how to tell.
