Did this update fix the problem with drafts in historical leagues? For example - during the reserve clause, a player is drafted by a team; and signs a contract -- the next year signs with someone else.

The latest update is 5 weeks old, so unless it was brought to their attention before then, no.

Hopefully they will look at it though to see if they can reproduce it. Did you upload your lesgue files?

No, because I submitted the bug on the proper forum and haven't heard a reply from hardly anyone yet.

Are we going to get the Trade Deadline Roster Update that includes the new drafted and other added players next week after the Trade Deadline?

I just purchased OOTP 17 last Friday, and I am a first-time OOTP customer. My download from your OOTP site came with Version 17.9, Build 60, and I am having so much fun just playing historical exhibitions up to today.

I decided to create a custom league with historical teams from different years playing by 1977 rules (i.e., 1909 Chicago White Sox, 1928 Cinn. Reds, 1984 Det. Tigers, etc.), and everything seemed to go great with league setup until I looked at the player ages, and my players are all Senior Citizens with some of the players are 100+ years old. Will this be addressed in the next patch, or should I give up on playing a league with teams from different years? Thank you so much!

you can manually edit their ages. i've read in other posts from people who have has similar games/isses that it does not affect play (but i've not played this way so can't be certain ....) (you can tell how good the players are regardless of age by their ratings). it would be tedious to edit an entire league's ages, but i don't know of another way. i suppose there is another, but someone more game tech savvy will have to assist in that. Have fun. It's a fabulous game, ain't it?

This issue has been reported on the forums and been responded to, so it should be fixed in the next patch if you're willing to wait a bit. In the meantime, if you're Excel savvy you can use the export the roster function in the league settings screen to export the data to a .csv file, mass edit the ages according to the birth year, and re-import them into OOTP. Or just disable player development if you don't want to do either.

Thank you both for your replies. I can wait until the next patch. I will create a fictional league to "get to know" all the features and work out the kinks until the patch comes out.

By default we will include the rosters as of the start of the season, but we will work towards getting an updated roster set (post-deadline) as well.

Is there any ETA? I want to start a new playthrough, but I kinda want to wait for the post-trading deadline rosters.

Also, will it be just a roster update, or will there be tweaks to ratings as well (e.g. Sanchez is performing like an absolute monster)?

Has this issue been corrected ? I was thinking of creating a league and wanted players to be in the 20-45 year old range from all eras.

Thanks

It should be possible to do that in the game as it is now. I'd guess the op just had a setting that was off when creating his league.

If anyone wants to create that sort of league and has issues doing so, just fill out a support ticket or send me a message/email and I'll help you get the league setup.
