Do you yell out loud when your team is eliminated from the playoffs?
I think I'm getting too emotionally involved in this game. I just lost out on the playoffs by one game and yelled out something I'd rather not repeat. My wife asked what was wrong. I told her it was something not important. She let it go. Anyone else done something like this? I was kind of embarrassed.

I have been known to act demonstratively and vituperatively at such times of extreme mental anguish, yes.

No more than after the first 3 defeats that lead up to it... assuming it's not a game 7 I spend the elimination game making my vendetta list of all the $!#&! clowns that contributed to the disaster!

I commed you for your composure, sir. I enter rage mode when my team has a guy at third with one out and doesn't get the sucker home ...

Are you kidding? I yell at the screen when I lose a Spring Training game I felt I should have had.

I usually end up thinking about any/all decisions made during the game/series that could have been done differently by me.
That's the beauty of managing the games myself - I am the idiot manager that I'm angry at. |

I don't yell per say but I do get extremely pissed off that my long 4 month journey (i'm playing intl leagues right now) is suddenly over like that. I get frustrated and wonder what do I need to do to make it over the hump and think if it's even worth it to try again. Then I sim the offseason and make a few changes and by opening day I feel like I'm a new man again full of optimism that this time I've built the team that will go all the way. Just like in real life I guess- hope springs eternal.

I use a discreet fist pump if I win, and a sad, silent head shake if I lose. When I reached senior citizenhood, dignity started to become a thing.

No, I cry in silence. I've started playing a lot as GM where I take a bad team and try to turn them into a winner. So I don't get to the playoffs that often. I did win it all once (out of 15 season). It was a pretty good feeling.
