Any former Action! PC Baseball gamers?
Hello,
My brother and I have run a 2 man league for 9 years using Action! PC Baseball form Dave Koch Sports. Anyone who has knowledge/prior experience of that game have any thoughts or responses to my questions? 1) Can (2) managers play from the same database online/server based game file (unlike the local PC files in Action!? 2) How does it play and track stats compared to Action!? 3) Are the results pretty realistic or are they crap like Diamond Mind where pitchers can hit homeruns and steal bases at will and league MVP's go 0-23 with 18 K's? ![]() 4) Is it better overall for a custom draft league? We cut winter rosters down to 13. Thanks! Andy |

1. Can't answer since I just play solo. Hopefully some else will chime in.
2. I think it plays and tracks stats pretty much like Acion PC. Tons of more options on how to set up leagues or acting like a GM (salaries, releasing signing FA, etc with OOTP). All the seasons come with the game--don't have to buy season disks for historical play. 3. I think the results are fairly accurate, maybe not quite as good as Action in my experience but close. 4. In OOTP you can have all the teams release all there players and schedule a draft but I don' think you can have all teams cut down to a x number (13 in your post). Because of all the options, there is a somewhat steep learning curve. I think it's on sale right now and it's not to expensive even at it's regular price so I would suggest you or your brother getting it and giving it a try. It will take a few days to get use to ot. |
