hey! i grew up in b-town.... on another continent...

anyway,

are you a minor league manager? i don't get offers but i am always a ML GM and not a manager. if you aren't at the top-rung (majors), then probably not able to turn it off..

if it only occurs when you are in the last year of your contract, you could edit your contract length from time to time...

i'm not sure if these relate but i use these settings, so it could make a difference:

cannot be fired
major league GM only
GM-legacy mode

other related stuff is default, if memory serves.

If you play in Commissioner Mode, you won't get job offers.

You need to go into the "Team Control Settings" and check-mark the 'Do Not Disturb' feature. The emails will accumulate but won't disturb you. If you sim for years it is a good idea to delete all your emails before advancing into the next year. Be sure to uncheck the feature as soon as you take on employment.

You're very welcome. This may be a tip for you as well, in case you apply as a GM and you simmed to the "End of Playoffs" instead of another point in the season.

If you take over a club then, one of the first things you will do is go over your arbitration list. What likely has happened as well, is that some of the players on there, and other FA eligibles have already received an offer for a contract extension. You may not have wanted them extended. You should check the 'Pending Offers' tab in the Free Agent section and you can withdraw any offers there. I learned the hard way when I got stuck with some players that had pending offers that were accepted in the background and I wasn't realizing it.
