Innings Option
It would be nice to be able to choose the amount of innings per game. I'd like to start a marathon league with 18 inning games that start around noon and finish up around sunset.

Maybe 21 innings/game. Not sure. I figure each team will have about a 10 man rotation. I'd probably go with a 35 man roster.

I'm guessing if there's ever an innings option it will be for shorter games rather than longer. I know 7 innings games have been suggested in the past(minor league doubleheaders). Of course, it's never as simple as just changing the length of the game, as programming is needed to altar the way the ai manages a shorter or longer game as well.

How about Test Baseball, with games that can last up to five days?

Well, an 18 inning game will last about 7 hours (assuming it doesn't go extra inning). Talk about a snooze fest. I wonder how much they would charge for supper at the games, $100 a plate.
I have a feeling the programmers have other priorities but I guess there is always a chance that I'm wrong. |
