Lol playing the victim now? There have been more posts here trying to help you then are trying to "crush" you. Until you put in the work, no one is going to give you a handout.

I bought OOTP17 and FHM2 this weekend and unfortunately my computer and graphics card is so old that the facegen doesn't work. I started a site so you can donate: Ineedmoneysoicanplayvideogames

Any help is welcome.

Thanks!

Ahh man. Sign of the times I guess. Gofund me sites cropped up for kids with serious medical conditions when I first saw them, and now they are created by kids who want to enhance their video game habit.

I just don't understand. Maybe because if I wanted something as a kid, I would work for it, cut lawns, shovel snow, whatever. Now I can just open up a gofundme? Sorry. Without a very good reason or a good and worthy product, I don't consider this charity.

I assessed my options, including asking parents for it as a bday gift(didn't work), and I came to conclusion that crowd funding would be an effective way to raise the cash necessary for the computer. If you have another way to do this, I would love to hear it though, as Im not the best at raising cash(evidence above)

Kent, a gaming PC isn't cheap. I would love a gaming PC also. You know what I will do? Work. Start a Go Fund Me page. I heard one person spent like $15,000 on lotto tix a few months back and people gave her around $1500.
My Gf's nephew is 16, he is a drummer and thinks his grandparents are unfair when they dont buy him drumsticks and drums but he wont work at McDonald's because he thinks its beneath him to work fast food.

Kent i'm not here to pile on you at you at all. I work full-time I have a pretty good job but I also have a lot of other obligations so I game a lot too but I can't afford a gaming computer so what I did ice just started to buy parts to upgrade my computer to make it into a key in the computer and it was like cheaper doing it that way you may consider doing that with your computer if it's possible with the Mac

Crush the dreams of a teenager? Seriously?

I want to start a new job as a Pizza delivery driver. I think I should start an indiegogo to raise money to buy the car.

To people who may have said, think, or implied that I was too lazy to work for a computer or should get a job, I simply don't have any time for that. Im currently working towards completing my Eagle project, playing two varsity sports and taking three college level classes and an honors class. I wanted a gaming computer to help improve my channel, you could've either chose to help, or not, up to you. Im not forcing anything on you. And yes, Ive heard you say that sometimes you don't get what you want, but don't you think I realize that? I know that even with a public campaign, its very unlikely to raise enough money for a computer, but I thought hey lets give it a shot, because I don't got time for any other alternative until either a) I finish my Eagle project(will take a while) or b) I turn 18. Lastly to all the people saying how the times have changed, you crack me up because Im certain your generation would do the same stuff our generation does if you had personal electronics available. My dad always tells me he would spend hours outside when he was a kid, but nowadays he spends more time on his iPhone than me, and Im sure he would be the same way if he had it when he was a kid.

Lastly, Padreman, I don't think theres much you can add or do to a Mac to improve its gaming ability.

That's admirable, and hard work. It's also a chosen priority, esp. sports and Eagles ..... good luck with them, but it doesn't change you've taken a chosen path that doesn't include a viable way to purchase a gaming computer at this time. You're not going to get a lot of help with the attitude you've displayed, esp. in a place where many of us are on fixed incomes, struggling with health issues and have to make our priorities work for more than a pass time. Sorry if this seems harsh. Good luck with your classes.

Go at this in stages; don't try to accomplish everything at once. If you have time to put the channel together in the first place, you have time to work instead.

You clearly are an intelligent individual with a lot of energy, drive and probably talent. Put some of that to work on figuring out a long-term plan for what you're trying to do.

Others have suggested GoFundMe; I feel like that's probably not the way to go. You're going to run into the same criticisms, with probably even more snark, that you've received here.

The bottom line is that most people in your situation would take the time to save money for the computer, expecting to have to wait at least 6-12 months (given your current earning power, as a teenager) before really getting the channel started. It's a long-term business plan. And it's the sort of thing you're going to have to get used to doing as you venture out into the less forgiving world of drudging adulthood.

Kent you have to realize too. You may have a dream to have a YouTube channel. And your asking for people to invest. First of all they are total strangers not even subscribers to you're channel. Now let's say these York strangers did invest because they were curious about the show and let's you make like 3 or 4 shows and you just stop. Then what? They get no show and you get a new computer? Are you willing to make a contract with your donors that you would commit to certain number of shows? Will you refund their money if you stop? They have so much more to lose than you do

Dude if you're too busy to get a job then you're too busy to broadcast yourself playing video games. This is classic millennial way of thinking. You expect people to only say nice, non-offensive things while giving you free stuff.
