For those having file access problems after upgrading to windows 10, try this:
1) Open "File Explorer" 2) Open your "Documents" folder 3) Click on "Out of the Park Developments" 4) Right click on "OOTB Baseball 16" 5) Click on "Properties" 6) Click on "Security" 7) Click on "Edit" 8) Click on "Home Users" 9) In the box "Permissions for Home Users" at the bottom of the screen, on the line "Full control" click on the box under "Allow" 10) Click "Apply" 11) Click "OK" 12) Click "OK" Try opening the game again. Worked for me.

Perhaps someone with the authority could include this information in the stickied official OOTPD thread on this topic, since this seems to be cropping up for some users. |

Will unlincensing your game delete all your save games and files?

This does not work for me. There is no "home users" when editing security section. Any other ideas? Can't play at all right now.

No Problems here, both OOTP 15 & 16 work fine on my Laptop & Desktop, only problem I had w/Windows 10 updating my systems is it turn off Avast's firewall, I just had to go in & turn it back on.

Please see answers below:
1) Windows 10 Pro 2) SYSTEM, Greg, Account Unknown, Administrators Administrators and I ("Greg") already have full control and I tried giving full control to "Account Unknown", but this did not resolve the problem. Still stuck. |

Hmmm. I don't have the Pro edition. That might have something to do with it. Are you using the default installation? Are you getting "file access" errors? Did you confirm that "SYSTEM" has full control? You might also try going into the windows/program files (86)/out of the park developments/ootp baseball 16 and follow the same procedure. One last thing. Try running the game as administrator.

Unfortunately, I did NOT see this post and I did NOt unlicensed my game prior to upgrading to Windows 10. After upgrading the game requests my license key, but then I get an error message saying that there are "No more licenses for this serial number."
How can I get the game working again? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks. |

while on vacation I discovered issues with widows 10 OneDrive integration, I think it has something to do with save locations being in OneDrives copy of the documents folder, which has vastly different security protocols, rather than the regular my documents location.
I have only been home a few hours and have not had time to narrow it down & may not have time for a few days, maybe somebody can look into it

Sorry was on a business trip this past week. Yes, I used the default installation. No file access errors...just no remaining licenses available. Yes, system has full control. I don't see the recommended path as an option (no "program files (86)" under windows folder). Yes, I have tried running as administrator...still no luck.

Yeah get a ticket asking to reset your licenses, the OOTP team is usually pretty quick to it.

Facegen crash with Windows 10
I was playing OOTP16, and all was fine, until I upgraded to Windows 10, since then Facegen, etc, does not work.
