Automatically Renews Contract

Do my players have their contract automatically renewed? For example, many of the players on my team have their contracts expiring very soon. Do I have to manually offer an extension for each player? If so, is there a way the computer AI can?

Just want to make sure I don't lose any players!

Anybody with 0 to less than 3 years service time has their contract automatically renewed. Anyone with 3 to less than 6 years goes through salary arbitration; you won't lose their rights, but the contract doesn't automatically renew. Anyone with 6 or more years is a free agent; you'll need to negotiate an extension with them before the end of the World Series or they go on the open market and you risk losing them to another team.

In the manager settings there are tick boxes that will allow you to tell the AI to deal with contract extentions. This doesn't necessarily mean it will sign everyone on your team, just the players it feels are worthwhile.

Also from your team's Front Office screen there is a handy listing of your upcoming Free Agents.
