Altering a Fictional template...

I recently altered an idea of mine for a fictional setup, increasing the number of teams on all levels, and making the divisions into even numbers. After setting up the starting template, I have reconsidered this idea, and when I log in again, I want to contract a few teams and go with the original idea.

My concern is that after putting in 48 teams, with 5 levels of minor leagues each, I will now be screwed once I shift back to 42 teams as all the team names I have put in, and the link between which minor team goes with which major team, will be wiped out?

So in other words, as soon as I change the 6 divisions from 8 down to 7 teams each on the setup tab, the teams tab will be now be randomly generated, and not resemble what I already spent hours setting up?

Is this correct?
