Batted ball and field sounds missing in 3D mode

Hi all,

I've been playing consistently in 3D mode for basically the entire time 17 has been out. Today, I started a game in a league I've been playing for over a month now and there are no field sounds (batted ball, catcher's mitt, umpire calls) in the audio. Crowd noise is still there. AND, the field sounds ARE there in broadcast and webcast modes.

Does anyone know what's happening here? I haven't made any changes to the game, the ballpark, nothing, but my sounds are gone, and with them, a good chunk of my immersion.

Update: This is happening throughout my game. It happens in other ballparks, and in fact, happens in entirely separate saved leagues. Batted ball and field sounds in broadcast and webcast mode, NOT in 3D. Has anyone else had this happen? It's very disappointing.

There are now at least two more reports of the same problem on the main General Discussion thread. While I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one, I sure hope this will be addressed.

Generally speaking, this is nothing in our control (if your game changes on you without an update, it's not usually something we've done).

Others who have seen this in the past the general fix has been to double check and make sure that windows has all its updates, and that your sound and graphics drivers are up to date. You could also try re-installing the game to see if that helps.

I've been playing in 3D mode for a couple of months and just two days ago, the field sounds stopped working (ball hitting bat, umpire calls, etc). I switched to broadcast mode and those sounds returned. All of the sound files are in the sound folder, so I don't know why they stopped working. I'd rather play in 3D mode, but this issue has changed my way of playing to broadcast mode. I'm going to reinstall the latest 17 release and see if the sounds come back.
