Just switched to a Macbook..

Hey everyone--

I just switched over to a 13 inch Macbook Pro w/Retina and installed OOTP but I am having a lot of issues keeping the game running. I researched back and saw that there are some display issues and I am working around those. However, anytime I minimize the game and try to bring it back up it usually leads to a crash or just a white/black screen.

Any other Mac users out there with any ideas? '

Thanks in advance!

Disable OpenGL. I had a lot of problems with Facegen and 3D on my MacBook until I did that. Since then it's been smooth sailing.

You find it in the game settings section. I think it's the Facegen and 3D tab.

Graphics settings with respect to what? I haven't really fiddled with any graphics settings that I can recall...

Just screen resolution mainly. It just seems that text looks a little blurry to me. I've seen a few others say it from searching through some old posts.

If you give me a couple hours i'll screenshot my settings. I also have a MacBook Pro and have experienced none of these issues

What does that do? If its disabling facegen and 3D, it's not the right move. Ootp works fine on a MacBook

It doesn't disable Facegen or 3D at all. It only falls back to the old version of OpenGL. The recommendation comes from Markus himself in the Tech Support form.

I was having a horrible time with Facegen not generating and 3D not working at all. Since I flipped the switch, I get both...

OOTP doesn't support retina displays. Here is an older thread about it:
http://www.ootpdevelopments.com/boar...ay-blurry.html

I'm sure there are other threads if you search around the forums. Other threads may have some other workaround-type responses.

i don't have any issues with blurry text and retina. My resolution on my mac is set at default for display. I also have my dock auto hide since ootp required it for windowed mode.
