Depth Charts

It would be nice to be able to fill the Depth chart as Gm, while giving the daily lineup to the manager. Is there an easy way to do this?, or do we have to use the strategy tab (which is a pain to do for every individual player and provides no depth)

I would like to see more robust interactions between GM and manager where managers can have input into personnel decisions, or at least make requests, and a GM can insist that certain players they just signed get more playing time, etc. An option to allow the GM to set the depth chart would at least be a step in the right direction. Even AI teams seem to have serious disconnects between GM personnel strategy and manager usage.

The player strategy function right now is the only way to override manager depth chart decisions I know of in GM only, but it seems to be designed for forcing minor leaguers to learn a position and doesn't translate well into major league depth chart decisions.

Is this speculation or a gut-take assessment? That's a broad brush without specifics and would seem to be difficult to measure without long-term scrutiny over multiple teams.

You're right, I was tired and starting regretted that sentence soon after posting it. I have nothing to back it up, except the vague recollection that I've been confused by which players had more at-bats than others on some teams. It doesn't even rise to the level of anecdotal evidence, so let's just put aside my assertion about the AI, it was sloppy of me.

Not a problem at all. I was just clarifying so I could further examine it myself if it were an issue or even a likely one. All the same, your candor is greatly appreciated. Now and then, even the slightest intuition can be of merit.
