Long time player has a few quick questions
Long time player has a few quick questions
Why does the the trade AI zero in on one guy and every team tried to trade with him, (Even if he isn't the best player)? Why does the Trade AI always offers 2 life time AAA ball players for major league stars all the time. I often erase their offers and ask for better guys or prospects and they often agree. When hiring coaching staff it gets frustrating. No one wants to Manage my minor league teams. Why? They all turn it down but the guys who are unproven and inexperienced. Can we add the option of puting the job out to tender? Like in Football manager series, On that topic, can inexperienced coaches gain reputation? How long does it take? They loose it quickly if they are on a loosing team. Good rated coaches often drop to poor if on a looser. And how much does their ratings affect my players? One thing I'm happy about is moral seems to have been fixed a bit. |

AI zeros in because it's a player that they either want or need, such as if they are week in RF then they will probe for a serivceable RF which is what you may have.
I don't know why the AI sends those stupid trades, I would usually discuss the trade with the team and you will maybe come to a deal Also for coaching your shooting to high always go for inexperienced/unproven guys who fit your coaching program, and they will gain experience with more and more success they have.

For filling minor league coaching positions you can turn over control of the hiring/firing to your assistant GM. I haven't noticed any problems going that route.

I tend to think of it as a lowball first offer to get the negotiations started.
