Change Historical Year

I am currently in 2018 and have been considering getting the stats in my league to reflect an earlier historical year. I don't want to go too far back but lets say I like what the league looked like, statistically, in 2012. Would I just change the historical year and be done with it? What side effects will I see? Will stats be a bit wonky or a year or two or even out rather quickly? Is there more to it than just changing the one setting? Should I even try?

League settings - stats& AI. Change the year. unclick autio update to keep it at 2012. I am in 2025 in my EBL league and use 1995 and manually change it each year,

Take a screenshot of your current settings before importing new settings... just in case. you may like some changes but not others or who knows what else.
